The 13th Off Cinema documentary festival was held in Poznań, Poland, between last Wednesday and Sunday, during which a jury comprising documentary-makers Maciej Drygas and Edyta Wróblewska, critics/historians Andrzej Kołodyński and Michael Brooke and festival programmer Piotr Kotowski watched forty films and picked five winners, namely:
• Gold Castle: Sona and Her Family (O Soni a jej rodine, d. Daniela Rusnakova, Slovakia)
• Silver Castle: The Lucky Ones (Szczęściarze, d. Tomasz Wolski, Poland)
• Bronze Castles: shared by Destination: Iceland (Kierunek: Islandia, d. Kalina Alabrudzińska, Poland) and The Wanted Woman (Kobieta poszukiwana, d. Michał Marczak, Poland)
plus a Special Mention to Where The Sun Doesn’t Rush (Tam gdzie słońce się nie spieszy, d. Matej Bobrik, Poland)
